Yes, big issues, look for cracks or broken weld in drum. Changes about a dozen for same problem

<<<Sometime it will quiet down.>>>

******************

Most likely needs new DRUM ROLLERS 4581EL3001A

Early LG dryers *did* have the potential for the DRUM developing a split/crack---at the weld seam.
This was resolved at/about early 2006.

Also---during the period of approximately 2003 to early 2005---LG dryer DRUM ROLLERS were known to *flat-spot*.
These ROLLERS were identified by having a white rim.
Subsequent ROLLERS have blue-color rims (for easy identification).
On LG dryers with the original ROLLERS---noise occurs for the first few minutes (bump/bump/bump/bump)---until the rubber on the ROLLERS became softened from the heat (gas or electric dryers).
For the duration of the cycle---the warmed ROLLERS would quiet down to almost normal-level.

:D Once again Thank You  O0.
Are these rollers fairly common?
Is there a place I can get them in Fresno that you might know of?
is it cheaper to buy online?

Hard to say until you take it apart and look it over. If the belt looks bad then I would replace it too.

If  I am ordering parts online, I will probably order one to save on shipping. Then return it later if I can.

In that case it would not hurt to get a belt too.
They are cheap enough and sooner or later it will need one. :)

Here is the parts list for your model, dlg2522w

Your model uses belt part # 4400EL2001A
