I purchased a Samsung French Door with bottom Refrigerator March 2016. I've had many issues including the same thing your mentioning. I've been in the food business for 45 years and know that refrigerated foods must be maintain under 40 degrees. Over 40 Degrees it enters the "temperature danger zone." Items like Milk can spoil before expiration date if kept over 40 degrees. Milk is a good monitor if your refrigerator is working correctly. I have mine set at 34 degrees (coldest setting) and I can get 39 degrees after being closed all night. When I set at Samsungs recommended setting (37 degrees) everything is 43-44 degrees. Even set at 34 degrees, the milk struggles to get to 40 degrees during the day. Also, the temperature varies greatly throughout the unit. I've had sensors changed out and currently dealing directly with samsung trying to get the unit replaced. Samsung needs to stick with making TV's. Also, my bottom freezer has frozen completely twice.

Hate to bring this topic back up, but is there a procedure for resetting everything back to the defaults?  I've changed the options over the last few years and now have a fridge that is 40 and a freezer that is usually -20.

Just found this topic through google trying to calibrate my RSG257AARS Samsung. It turns out that the option settings donít go into effect until the unit is power cycled. Very important!

After making the changes you have to reboot the refrigerator.

Iíve verified this by comparing against the displayed internal temperature on the front panel. It does not take the option changes into consideration until the refrigerator is rebooted.

I used the option setting on my samsung last night to make the refrigerator colder. It wont cool past 42F. I set it to go -5 per the chart. I got up this morning and it was 52F.  How do you reboot?

Does anyone know how to do this on a RF23HSESBSR. When I hold down Freezer + Lighting it goes to a defrost menu with the options of: FF OF rd Fd. I know rd and Fd are defrosts. I'm not sure what FF and OF are though. I think my refrigerator would be perfect if I could adjust this offset.
