Maytag washer MAV6451AWW, agitates in spin cycle?/
« on: April 08, 2012, 09:04:10 PM »

Looked at my mothers washer today for her. It works just fine until it gets to the spin cycle. Then it just agitates but does not spin. It drains the water just fine. Any idea where I may look first> The Ser# is 27909954GP
Any help would be really appreciated!

You gonna need a few tools to do the job. Spring compression tool to get the brake package off there and a spring release tool to help you take the 6 tub springs out so you can remove the tub assembly.

How to install the thrust kit and main pulley
