Smell In Fridge
« on: April 03, 2012, 05:55:02 PM »

Hello,
I am working on a Roper Refrigerator Model# RT21LMXKQ00 and for some reason it is starting to smell like oil and the ice even has a oil type taste to it. Do I have a leak in the evaporator or where would it most likely be. Or is it impossible to have that smell from a refrigerant leak?
Thanks in advance for any help

Bob

Might be a leak. look for leaks near where the heater touches closest to the evaporation unit.
