I am working on a GE top load washer.I can't get the agitator out. After removing the cup for the fabric softener I see a plastic dome. All the videos and online help says there should be a bolt under it that I should remove and then the agitator will lift out. The plastic dome will not come out. It is like it's glued in. What am I missing? Thanks again.

It may not have a bolt. The agitator will come out if you yank on it real hard. I've used my belt before. Just slip it under the agitator, buckle it together and pull up. Just make sure your pants don't fall down.
