Frigidaire Dishwasher Leaking
« on: April 13, 2008, 04:38:22 PM »

Model #PLD2560LCC1, the complaint was a water leak from under the access panel. After removing the panel and running a test load, a very slow leak was observed from the location of where the heating element pokes through the bottom of the tub. It appears the nuts that fasten the element to the tub and compress the seal (which makes it water tight) were overtightened and eventually cracked. This allowed both nuts to slip over the threads over time and took the pressure off the water seal. With no seal, water started leaking down the element and onto the floor during the wash cycles. Replaced both element nuts and now the leak has stopped.
