Hi AJ
I have a handyman company in Waco TX called Maintenance Masters.  I've been making the transition from handyman to appliance repair over the last year or so.  Probably spend 60% of my time on appliances these days.  Would like to be included in the technician page.  PM if you have any questions.

Thanks

Hi AJ

Have been working on residential appliances for a large company for the past 8 years. Before that did HVAC repair and installs for 2 years. Have always been asked to do repairs on the side for friends and family so when the large company I worked for laid me off I started my own. Always great to be able to exchange info/stories with fellow techs and would love to be part of the trade discussion.

Hi all,

I'm a UK based appliance engineer, started my own company about a year ago ( www.technicallysmart.co.uk if you're interested :) ). I've been repairing all sorts of electronics and appliances for the past 5 years or so. Used to also working in the stage lighting trade but that's another story. Hoping I can be an asset to the team and look forward to helping out. Cheers!

Hello,
I am currently self employed, but have been seriously considering getting into the appliance repair trade.  Of course, I would keep my other work lined up, and offer the appliance repair as either an "add on", or a completely separate identity, all depending on how well this venture grows.   The reason why I have investigated this type of work is because we only have 2 companies that service our area, and one of those is Sears.   I can definitely see a need for appliance tech's, but getting over the hurdle of convincing a customer that it is better to repair, than replace constantly is my biggest concern............In any case, I would love to jump on the Forum where I can learn even more, and discuss some of my concerns.  Please add me to the list.

Thank you

Hello,   I worked for Lee's appliance repair for 6 years doing factory service on all makes and models and have now started my own business. I am not set up as a factory servicer yet.  Would like to be upgraded to technician to be able to talk to other techs.  Thanks Jeff
You have been upgraded you to a technician    and you wanted to talk to other techs?      And you never posted again.
