While it's spinning, will the tub turn freely by hand? Did you take the agitator off so you can see if anything is turning? Sounds like the clutch.

Atually, when I first jumped the switch the washer tub and agitaor spun.  After the cycle ended and I tried it again, nothing turn.  If the clutch drum is spinning yet the washer drum isn't, does that sound like the clutch is the problem?  Or should I investigate further?

Do this: While it's in spin and running, Take you hand and give the tub a spin and see if it starts to spin.

Yes, it does spin freely by hand while the motor is running.  The agitator is off and the shaft is not turning.  I tryied the hand spin -it turns but oes not start to spin on its own.

It can be either the basket drive or the clutch. Take the transmission out and look at the bottom of the basket drive for a white plastic piece and it should look like this:

If it does look like that replace the clutch.

FYI: Lay washer on it's back>Remove the pump/motor>Remove 3 trans bolts>Pull trans out....very simple.

Ok - I took the motor/trans assembly out, the brake cam looks fine.  I took the clutch band out and it looks somewhat worn.  I also took off the clutch drum.  I then put a wrench on the motor shaft (where the pump mounts) and turned the shaft.  The spin rod does not turn, but the short outer rod, onto which the clutch drum mounts, does turn.  Is this operating correctly?

Get the cover off the tranny and inspect the main drive wheel for wear. It is made of plastic. Click on pic to enlarge. Video shows worn out main drive gear:

If the gear and pinion are fine then remove the main drive gear and look for a very smashed down spin pawl. The part looks like this:

To know if it's operating correctly, you have to spin it with your finger fast enough to engage the clutch...........just kidding! Replace the clutch.
