Maytag Dryer No Heat
« on: March 21, 2008, 08:25:14 PM »

Model # LDE8426ACM, this unit ran fine, but one day recently stopped heating. I will always take a look at the back of a dryer first whenever I service them so I can do a quick inspection of the vent, and also to look at the connection to the terminal block. This turned out the be the issue and the no heat was the symptom. One of the block nuts had been loose allowing the connector to arc and spark which creates lots of heat which then melted the connector and wire. Spliced a new wire (same gauge) with a new eye connector and replaced the terminal block with a new one. It now heats just fine.
