What type of floor is it sitting on?
Is it on the main floor of on a cement basement floor?

About how old is it?

Is it walking or gliding across floor? I have seen machines glide across floors. If that is the case, install 2 pieces of nonslip tape under the 2 front leg pads (the tape they use for steps to make them nonslip )  Solved many problems on Maytags that way.

it is walking across the floor not gliding, but i have thought of some kind of way to stabilize it. The gripers on the botton of the legs are smooth now from age......

Check the inner tub for movement.
