Washer not spinning or pumping out water
« on: November 04, 2009, 08:47:27 PM »

Washer won't spin on any setting or pump out water, I replaced the timer the last time this happened 2 yrs. ago. Shouldn't this last longer? Any other underlying problems I should check for? Thanks.

Check it out. You may have a fail lid switch assembly. Take a look at this:

Your exact lid part at a nice price

Verify a no continuity situation by ohming out the switch at the quick disconnect.

Think it's the timer, I hear a slight sizzle when I turn it to spin.

If the lid switch is fine then that probably is the timer. Or the motor.
You is down to the old timer or the motor dilemma.

Well, wasn't the timer. How do I check the motor and is it worth replacing.

Send the timer back and order a motor.
