Kitchen Aid will no longer make ice
« on: August 26, 2009, 07:17:21 PM »

I have a Kitchen Aid fridge that is ksrp25fsss00 and it will no longer make ice, the tray never fills with water.
I have used this doc.

I did the optics test and they are fine, did the ice maker test and it says that: STEADY LIGHT for 5 seconds indicates the relay and optics are okay, and the receiver senses the ice maker.

I removed the water tube from the back of the fridge and I can blow air all the way to the black fill tube without a problem.

I am not sure what else to check, the ice maker will move around from time to time but seems to stop in the wrong place and the water will never fill, the water still dispenses from the front to get water.

Sounds like a faulty water valve you can jumper the fill valve contacts to verify.
