All right, I have just fixed the old Kenmore washer and dryer, both are agitating and rolling beautifully by the way, thanks!
I installed the dishwasher, pulled the ceramic igniting element from the oven and replaced that...
I searched the net for solutions to these adventures and would love a book that has it all in one place like my Chilton's car manuals.
Something I can get my fingerprints all over besides my computer keyboard!
Thanks again!

I've used the Appliance Repair Forum to repair my washing machine (motor coupler) and gas dryer (valve solenoids). While extremely helpful, this book could save a lot of time that I spent looking up YouTube videos of how to take the washing machine apart and days spent emailing back and forth to determine what the different problems were. I'm sure I'm just beginning to have appliance repair "opportunities".

I'd like to win this book because i need the guidance on how to fix my appliances. You wouldn't want me taking things apart blindly would you?
Peace, Andy

Fixing things is in my blood. Before I toss something I will have repaired it several times if possible before it goes in the trash. I have gotten many extra years of service from items I have repaired and usually for little or no cost to me except for time.

Last month I replaced a drain pump in a Maytag Neptune that was headed to the dump, adding this book to my shelf will only speed up my ascent to the top of the Handy Hubbie ladder!

I love manuals, for they double not only as (a) helpful information but also (b) an instrument that can be used to hold the lid open while working on a unit
.
I am a DIY kinda guy. PLUS, I have 4 boys (yes 4) that we homeschool and who love to learn from dad as he attempts new repairs (with an estimated 95% success rate). So if I win, it is like giving a single book to 5 DIY'ers. My oldest (almost 15) will be thrilled that our repair time will be cut in half (or more) since dad will have a better idea what he is doing.

I am always interested in keeping what I have as long as possible
instead of tossing it in the landfill. More people should do this! It's
always helpful to see different approaches to doing things.
Thanks,
Ron

I would love to have this book because as a landlord, I got the SHAFT on my property taxes this year (I have NO idea what they are doing with OUR money!) and I need to fix appliances myself to keep my head above water. Ughhhhh.

I would like to have the book because it would be a lot easier to fix something with a visual assistance.

Hello,
The book sounds like a great asset to someone like myself who does their own work and is also breaking into the field of repairing vintage appliances. Being laid off every couple weeks means self repair to save money is a must.....Lee

We need this book because there is an applicance conspiracy in our home. The refrigerator let the garbage disposal know who let the washing machine know who tipped off the wall oven who informed the gas range that they should begin making suspicious symptoms of quiting completely. We don't know which will be the first to go but we know there is a chain reaction coming soon. And we are afraid to say anything about it in front of them. Lori Duncan

IF THE BOOK IS LIKE AN APPLIANCE REPAIR BOOK FOR DUMMIES, THEN AS A DIVORCED WOMAN WITH NO HEAD FOR HOW APPLIANCES WORK, I'LD BE INTERESTED. IF NOT,
PLEASE SELECT AN APPROPRIATE PERSON THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM IT! THANK YOU!
