Maytag electric dryer model MEDC215EW1 with s/n M62975426

 The above dryer was given to me for possible repair as the previous user said it would not work or heat.  I dismantled it and found the high limit thermostat  open.  It was replaced .In addition the motor would not start the drum turning .  With the drum removed An exam of the motor showed the centrifugal  switch was not sllding back and forth on the motor shaft properly. This would not allow the motor to go from start to run in the electrical windings. An alternate motor was installed   and it also would not start the blower wheel to turn unless I  gave it a slight twist. The controls appear to be working properly. I am asking anyone who has knowledge of  this model if they have had a similar problem . As it is in a state of being torn apart I am looking for advice before I go any further on a repair. The blower wheel was destroyed during removal as it was seized on the shaft as is typical for this configuration. Another part will be installed if I can get the unit to start and run the drum . The heating coils is OK

As I went further into this machine I found more and more items that needed repair so I decided to salvage any usable parts and scrap what was left. Win some and loose some !
