Hi All,
New member here and if this is inappropriate please let me know.  I've been a member of appliantology for a few years and got a lot of help there.  Lately there have been fewer responses so I thought I would give this forum a try.

Our old Asko dishwasher is finally dead and not worth putting any more money into it  I found out after we bought it that it was not the best brand to buy but feel pretty fortunate it lasted a long time with 3 major but fairly inexpensive repairs.

But now I see brands I've never seen before like Zline, Beko, etc. And was wondering what brand a repair tech would get today.  We need a 24" built in that is panel ready so we can transfer the cherry panel from the Asko to the new DW.

Appreciate your insight on what brands to buy and what brands to avoid.

Thank you

I would at least include some of the Bosch examples.  Especially the 500 and 800 series.   I think they are using an overall better design than WP now (e.g. WP doors that start leaking after a few years).  Don't get me wrong,  I still get frustrated because I have, and continue to see Bosch units that have faded out lettering on the control buttons - some so bad you can no longer read what the button's function is.  How difficult was it to design or choose a paint that doesn't rinse off...?

I would always pass on Frigidaire, Samsung. They look sure can look nice though.  There are some features I like in the GE models but they have gone to using such thin electrical wiring I would not purchase a new GE now.

The other models you mentioned I'm not familiar with so have no opinion.

Hi Jben,
Really appreciate your detailed input.  I'll look at the Bosch models.

Thank you!
