After honorably serving for 20yrs, Kenmore Elite HE3T went dead a week ago. 1st CCU from Appliance Parts Pros DOA. 2nd CCU from APP can't get past F-DL. CCU diagnostic produces same F-DL. New door latch switch, same F-DL. Checked micro switch and solenoid in original door latch switch and new switch, all good. Verified door closed micro switch closed signal at CCU board connector. Checked harness from CCU solenoid connector to door latch switch connector, good. With machine on, pulled solenoid connector at CCU and measured voltage at CCU board, nothing. CCU is receiving proper door closed signal from micro switch but not providing voltage to latch switch solenoid. Explained all this to APP, they had difficulty following the troubleshooting, ended up blaming the "harness", won't replace the CCU. Turns out they aren't really pros after all. It isn't the harness or the door latch switch. Retired EE, know how to check a harness.
Is there something else in the washer that could prevent the CCU from activating the door latch switch solenoid?
