Whirlpool LSR7233EQ0 not filling but agitating on rinse
«

Hi folks -
We have a LSR7233EQ0 that recently has trouble filling on rinse, but still starts agitating at some point during the rinse cycle. Thinking fill valves which seems like easy replace, but just realizing/wondering why it's still agitating even when no water in there?? might this also/instead have something to do with fill-level pressure switch?
Any insight greatly appreciated!
Best -

It could either be the pressure switch or a clogged air hose. Try disconnecting the hose at the switch and blow through it. If it's clogged it will be very hard to blow through.
It could also be a timer/control board issue.

Thanks so much. Yes I will check the pressure switch and the hose. I'm assuming that if I can activate the switch by blowing into the hose, all is well. But I will also check the hose for integrity blowing underwater, etc.
In the meantime, how can I tell if the timer/control board is operating properly?
by way of diagnosis: I can also report that sometimes when the tub is not filling, if I turn the timer knob in/off, then on again, it starts working. So maybe you're onto something there...
Thanks!

Okay - would still love some advice on this one. I still have the original problem, which is:
Washer does not fill on RINSE cycle. More detail:
- washer runs normally for wash cycle. it drains and spins.
- upon Rinse, it does not fill - just goes to agitating a dry well.
- if I toggle load size in any way, it starts filling and continues as normal.
Things I've done:
- replaced fill valve
- replaced load size switch (and also inspected tube - seems to be in fine working order)
- replaced timer
- cleaned connections with QD Electronic cleaner
What the heck else could this be? Happy to provide more info. I would love to keep this washer alive!!
Thanks -

Hi,
Before I ordered a timer I would remove the inner basket and check for soap scum build up on the inside of the outer tube. Soap scum could be blocking the hole in the tub where the air hose connects.
Here is the timer for your model if you decided to give it a try.

Thanks for the idea - I will check out the tube as you suggested. In preparing to do so, I'm looking at various videos for removing the inner tub - not really finding my exact model and wondering if I will need a special spanner wrench to remove the nut that holds the inner tub? Any thoughts before I start the process?
Thanks!

I meant to also ask: when I take the inner tub out, is there a gasket or seal I should proactively replace? Any guidance or parts appreciated!!
Thanks again

Sounds like a bad water level switch W10820051 which comes with new tubing instead removing disconnect tube from switch blow back into tub

Thanks mjappliance - I've already replaced the water level switch and tube - problem still exists. Is that what you mean?
otherwise I'm planning to inspect the opening that leads to the air tube, per AJ's post.
I might replace the tub seal while I'm at it - especially if I'm disturbing the existing seal...

Hi,
Yes you will need a spanner wrench to remove the inner basket. You shouldn't need to replace the tub seal as your not removing the outer tub. No other parts should be needed to remove the inner basket, inspect and clean.
Let us know what you find.

Thanks, AJ.
In process now - spanner nut won't budge. I've applied PB blaster and will let sit...
in the meantime, any other tricks to remove? I'm gearing up for a tough time removing the tub, too...

Left handed thread from what I recall. Been awhile since I’ve taken one apart. Could probably YouTube it.

Yeah seems to be right-handed thread, per this and other similar videos:

I'll let the pbblaster sit overnight, perhaps hit it with heat as well. I'm so close - so annoying.
