Best washer/dryer for longevity & parts availability
«

I need to replace our current washer and dryer. They have been repaired several times and they are just worn out. What are the current favorites from the standpoint of longevity? What brands have the best parts availability? What brands should I avoid?
Thanks,
Andy

Miele Touchtronic W1213 - The best machine you can buy in general, from a company with an impeccable reputation. A fantastic resource of 30-40 years (10,000 washes are officially declared, the availability of spare parts is at least 15 years).

If cost is no object I recommend Speed Queen washers. They're made in USA and parts are readily available. If you've used a laundromat washer, chances are it was a Speed Queen as they have the biggest share of that market.
While Miele generally makes decent appliances, getting parts is not always easy. For instance right now I have a customer with a 4 year old Miele range hood. It needs an electronic control board that is currently not available.
