Get the tech manual for that machine and see if there is a key dance where you can access error codes because those machines will only give you consumer error codes it will not supply mechanical electrical malfunctions with pressure switch and such because they don’t want consumers to open the machines and kill them selves with shocking themselves or other things like screwing up the electronic boards. Usually there is a tech manual inside that unit either inside the front left or right side wall near the ground or possibly on the top right side but if I remember correctly it’s usually in the bottom of Maytag. Another thing that might be happening is it looks like from the schematics it has a mechanical pressure switch and if that’s the case the inner diaphragm might have been stuck in the closed position so the machine thinks it’s continuously full of water so what you would do is take the lid off turn the pressure switch counterclockwise 90 degrees,pull off cabinet remove hose from it and then suck into it and see if something gives not the hose you’ll get a mouth full of nasty but the switch itself And then blow gently and see if you can also hear one click and then a second click so that’s what I would try first before replacing the main control board and also does the door lock does the basket turn does the door lock again and then the pump comes on? That is the sequence for the beginning of the cycles .
