LG Dishwasher - Pin Looking Thing found at Bottom

I have an LG Dishwasher.  Yesterday morning, we woke up to an "AE" code.  My wife assumed she put too much detergent in the dishwasher the night before after we read some things online.  We flipped the breaker to reset the code and ran the dishwasher empty with no errors.

However, we later found a pin with threads at one end and a ring on the other (picture attached) at the bottom of the dishwasher.  I can't figure out where it's supposed to go.  Does anyone know the name of this part or where it needs put back in the dishwasher?

Also, I'm not sure if the AE code and this piece of hardware laying at the bottom are related, or if the piece of hardware has been down there for a while and we just haven't seen it.

Does not look like anything I have seen in a dishwasher.
It could be a shipping bolt.
Take a look at the parts in a parts website for that model.
Also look at the install sheet to see if something like it is mentioned there.
