Lid lock on Maytag mvwc416fw1

I have a Maytag mvwc416fw1 washer with a failed lid lock. I have the replacement part but can't figure out how to either remove the old lock without breaking anything or separate the new lock from the bezel. There aren't any visible screws holding anything together. This is driving me nuts.

Apply a small screwdriver under the right side of the lock and slide it to the left.
