Over-the-range Samsung ME20H705MSS 2.0cu ft 1000W microwave, 5 years old. The humidity sensor DE32-60011A failed after 2 years. I ignored it.
The magnetron OM75P-21-ESGN shorted this week, so I finally took the microwave down and ordered a new magnetron. I found them anywhere between $50 and $90 new, and went with the cheapest one. Let's hope that works.
I also looked at prices for a new sensor DE32-60011A. They seem to be less variable, $40-$60 each. That's too much for an accessory that gets used once a year and died so quickly. I found a few at slightly lower cost which are pulled from used machines, but that seems like a really bad idea, for many reasons.
Does anyone here know anything about these sensors? Are they really that short lived? Is there any good source for them at a more reasonable price?
Thank you.
