Wiring kenmore washing machine motor to switch
« on: July 01, 2021, 06:52:55 PM »

Hey All, I am looking to wire an old kenmore motor directly to a switch. If you would not mind, can you tell me which wires I would need to hook up to the switch? Electrical is not my strong point.

Thanks in advance.

I know that you posted this a long time ago.  Thought that I might answer you anyway.

You would connect the 110 volt power source wires to the white and red, or the white and yellow depending on which direction that you want the motor to spin.  You also need a run capacitor for this motor.  It connects between the red and yellow wires, for use in either direction.  If you have more questions, just ask.  Will try to respond sooner.

Cash donations always accepted.
