We overloaded our 10+ year old LG washer and got smoke and a loud noise.  Tore it apart and the spider was about ready to go, but the tub seal and the bearings look great.  Should I replace the bearings and seal when I replace the spider?  Itís not very expensive and it seems like it would extend the life of the machine.

If it were  mine I would replace the seal and bearing. A lot of work to do it twice !
