You guys have saved me before, hope you have the answers for this one.


I uploaded a video to YouTube so you can hear it.  It started as sort of a squeak but has now developed into a full on angry noise. lol

Do you know how to put it into diagnostic mode? Sounds like you have a bad gearcase.

Yes, I went into diagnostic mode, turned the knob until only the rinse light was lit, and it went through the process, made that horrible noise at one point, then finished and that was it.

I'm thinking Actuator. Did you ever figure out the issue with your washer?

Shifter and splutch are the likely suspects.  Sometimes the control board acts stupid when this happens. Shift sensor switch quits and the control board agitates with the teeth half engaged. Eventually plastic melts and then it's doomed. The solution is a new splutch kit and shift actuator(at least) then calibration.
