Whirpool WRT771RWYM01 Frosting Evap Coil
« on: December 30, 2019, 01:34:36 PM »

I have a Whirpool WRT771RWYM01 fridge and the evap coil keep frosting up. I am thinking the culprit is the freezer thermistor. I took it out this morning and got a reading around 4.52 ohms at 32 degrees and 2.56 ohms at 70 degrees. I kept the thermistor in ice water for about 15 mins while i was checking other components. Before I replaced the rear panel in the freezer I got a reading of 1.81 ohms at 32 degrees then I monitored it getting to room temp which read 1.31 ohms. Could this be my problem? I was not able to find the tech sheet for this fridge online.
