Need WRV986FDEM01 Service Manual
« on: December 21, 2019, 04:35:01 PM »

Hello,
I am looking for a service manual for a WRV986FDEM01 unit. I have searched the site and the google docs.

Bought a little over 2 years ago new (scratch and dent) was missing kickplate which I researched is where the manual usually is.

Currently not cooling either zone. Seems to be a restriction or issue with rotary valve but dont want to open the system until I can perform more tests.

Thanks

dab147315 thank you very much. I did more testing, should I create a new topic about service questions or is here ok?

Ok great.

Ambient: 68degF
Compressor: 134degF
Suction Line: 70degF
Discharge Line: 74degF
Condensor: 75degF
Capillary Lines at 3-way Valve 70degF

From what I gather it appears that the charge is intact and there is a restriction. I believe the restriction is the 3-way valve.

Per the wiring diagram it shows:
Terminal 1: B-
Terminal 2: A-
Terminal 3: +14v
Terminal 4: B+
Terminal 5: A+

The service manual says (P13) 3-Way Refrigerant valve, can not check voltage output

I can't imagine why I could not, I am assuming A is RC, B is FC and perhaps home is no signal (shut)

Am I overlooking something and do you know of a way to test the valve? Voltage signal or at least ohming out the coil?
