frigidare GLTF1040SS0 gets stuck in drain cycle
« on: September 20, 2019, 11:34:52 AM »

Hi Everyone-

I have a frigidare GLTF1040SS0  (early 2000's) that seems to drain forever.  The pump just runs and runs 10 minutes or so without the drum spinning.  In fear of burning out the pump I push the knob in and advance one click which then starts the rinse cycle and then the unit runs normally for the rest of the wash cycle.  It happens on every wash setting; delicate, whites, heavy etc...

The door lock is often cited as a common problem but this one appears to function well.  Door is definitely locked when it should be, though sometimes it remains locked after I have jacked with the control knob when door lock light is not lit.  Not often though.

Before I start randomly replacing parts I'd like to get your feedback on which parts to test and how.

Thanks!  I have appreciated all of you pro's responses to other questions posted here.
