Kenmore Elite Washer won't spin clothes properly
« on: January 03, 2009, 04:12:13 PM »

Hey There,

Our washing machine isn't spinning our clothes properly. They are coming out of the washer
very wet.  It took over an hour for them to dry last night.  What could the problem be?

Thanks a lot,
Phoenix

Model SM9710802-A

I don't require pictures, JW...but I require a model number. If you would like to observe how I handle this post you are welcome to do so from a distance, thanks.

The SM number is the only thing I see inside the door that resembles anything like a model #. If that is not correct the tell me where else I can find it.

Thanks.

Perhaps on back...all Kenmore models start with 3 numbers followed by a dot, then 8 more numbers.

Ex:  110.2440991

We couldn't find any numbers like your example model numbers.  The only #' we found were a  part # - 3953360 and this #- 8271706.   We have no idea what the second # is.

If the model # was on the back it isn't any more.  Does the part # help?

At this point, it does not matter what is wrong...without the model number you cannot get parts.

If this is the Elite H3 front loader, the Frigidaire people make the machine.

The word "Elite" could be a top or a front loader, and made by  different companies. It is only a Sears buzz word.

Does the washer load from the top or front? I am so confused. :D
