Hotpoint oven thermostat removal and install
« on: December 23, 2008, 07:17:37 PM »

seasons greetings all,

First of all, i would like to say thank you for your time to help me. Our oven thermostat went out and my wife's uncle removed it from the oven. Unfortunately, i wasn't present to observe how it was removed so that i could install it exactly as it was. I have reconnected it but I'm still unsure if i installed it correctly. I have 2 mounting clips that i know I'm supposed to use. Ive tried looking up for 'blown up' schematics and i cant seem to find the right one. All I need is a picture or something that shows the thermostat location and how to mount it with its clips.
Thanks again, Pete  :-\

Its a Hotpoint Model rgb528bea1wh.

You gotta raise the top up and find the small hole the probe goes into. It is kinda tricky because you gotta line it up and not kink the tubing.
