Hi there,
I was hoping someone could help me narrow down the cause of my Inglis washing machine problem.
Two weeks ago I noticed that the clothes were coming out wetter than usual and now take longer to dry.
I've taken the cabinet off and have noticed small drops of oil on the floor. The motor coupler is in good shape, the drain hoses are all clear, agitation cycle appears strong and normal, the basket does not spin when the tub is draining and only takes 90 seconds to drain a full tub, the clutch turns using my thumb and forefinger in either direction and then gets to a point where it is very tough to move, When the spin cycle occurs the tub appears to spin slower than I remember in the past, on the final spin cycle there are two moments when the washer adds water for 3-5 seconds (normal??)
The last cycle was observed with an empty machine running with no clothes in it.
Is my problem just the clutch or tranny or both and how can I test to isolate which one it is.
Thanks for any help.
