Whirlpool WFW94HEXW2 f06e02 error
« on: August 01, 2019, 07:56:24 AM »

This one is giving a constant f06e02 code (UI to CCU communication).  I've checked the harness between the two for continuity, all good.  12vdc and 5vdc check ok.  UI tests ok for all buttons and leds.  Clear the code,  try to start, door locks, dispenser cycles, then everything stops and the code is set again.
I saw several others in previous posts with same or very similar problem,  but no solutions.  Does anyone have a fix for this?

If the door locks and then there is no tub movement, it is usually the motor control board. You can pull the motor control board out of the white case and look for burn marks.

Thanks for the reply!  I found this to be the case after posting, and am sorry I didn't re-post after finding it.  The MCU was shorted (blown apart!) in four different places...lightning ?
