I have a Whirlpool washer, model wfw9150ww00.  At first the problem was intermittent - it would stop midcycle, not drain, with 3 rapid chirps.  The door stayed locked.  I was able to reset it and get it working again by flipping the breaker.  That no longer works now.

I have run the diagnostic and gotten a f1e1 error code.  I cleaned out the filter (there was some debris) and fixed a broken grounding wire coming from the rear hub.  I double checked for secure connections between the MCU and CCU and drain pump and CCU and it all looked good.  I cleared the error code and reran the automatic diagnostic test which completed it's cycle with no additional errors.  I then ran a regular wash cycle once again but it stopped mid-cycle, gave me the 3 rapid chirps, and showed the f1e1 error code again - argh.  The cycle seems to fail/stop right as the drum is set to drain.

I'm unable to figure out if I have a drain pump problem or a CCU problem.  I also read a post that said a pinhole in the water pressure hose can cause this??  My hose is well protected so don't think this is an issue but hard to know for sure.

Anyone got any words of advice?  thx

Update:  After significant resistance testing many components (all of which checked out), I went ahead and ordered a replacement CCU, got it installed and everything seems to be working now.  ~$300 part but now there's clean laundry again.  good luck out there.
