GE refrigerator GSL25JFPA BS

I found the freezer sensor hanging between the outer freezer panel and the defrost trough.  Where does the sensor actually mount to sense the coil temp/ice.  Thanks, Joey Bullock.

That your cycling sensor. your defrost sensor is located on the evaporator coil. Same part number. the sensor you see hanging actually goes inside the little plastic housing located on the bottom left. It's simply slides in from the back. I'm sure if you left it hanging it would not make any difference.

Thanks for the info.

Do you have the procedure for putting the defrost circuit  of this machine into Test Mode?

Thanks, Joey

my procedure on this refrigerator is if I have a no defrost condition is I test the limit switch, the heater and the resistance on the defrost thermistor if all of these pass then I replace the board. the most common failure is the heater. the heater is the very first thing I test
