Whirlpool French Door frosting up takes about 3 weeks

Model WRF560SEYM02 I ran call 3 weeks ago evaporator iced up. Put unit in defrost cycle everything worked deiced evaporator customer says iced up again. This has control board by compressor no bimetal has thermistor has anyone had problem with thermistor or control?

WPW10383615 I come up with this as your evaporator thermistor! May what to start there.Thermistor chart in attachments. That one is known to go bad.Cheaper than the board.Ohm it out and se what you find.

Just a side note here involving this situation. I have found that in Diagnostic mode many times this thermistor will test as good where in fact it is faulty. I have also found the thermistor will test sometimes at or near a normal ohm value in ice water, but at room temperature test completely out of range. the numbers I look for are approximately 7.30 ohms in ice water after a couple minutes and approximately 2.52 ohms at room temperature. obviously these numbers will vary with a couple degrees of temperature. I had recently 1 thermistor that tested at 6.80 ohms in ice water which is near normal, but tested at 0.88 ohms at room temperature. definitely always use a tie strap to secure. Thanks to Dab for some good always your a great help. Wpw10383615 is a part you definitely want to stock if your working on a lot of whirlpool refrigerators.
