Ok had clothes in the dryer and timer set on delicate heat mid way, usually it senses if the clothes are dry and advances
It seemed like it was running too long and I checked and the timer still had a ways to go. Clothes were dry and it was still heating ??

Not enough information. This must be about 35 years old...most parts are no longer available. Try to find the wiring diagram and follow the circuit through and you should be able to find the problem.

Disconnect the vent and run a load of towels.Should take about 60 minutes. Gave you a tech sheet when you had problems with timer or lid switch. Also dryer- washer is at least 25 years old or more.Yeah the new ones are a new design. Tech sheet is Here!

Ok i found the receipt, it’s 24 yrs old ! Wow didn’t think we had it that long.
So put a load of wet towels in and let it vent in the basement ?
And what will this tell me or what am I looking for ?

It will tell you that normally towels would take about 50 to 60 minutes to dry and if it was longer with the vent hook up that you have a vent problem! Towels or cotton should be on high heat to.Have you look into the vent and when is the last time you clean the vent or replace the vent and how long is the vent.

Ahhh yea the vent is spotless I clean it all the time, it’s rigid metal only like a 4 ft run... it’s clean as a whistle
