Repairing wire harness
« on: May 17, 2019, 09:56:48 PM »

Washer is a frontload Whirlpool model# WFW6620HC0. When replacing control board#W11322905 wire harness connector(green) broke when
trying to remove from board. Is there a temporary fix to connect 2 wires to control board? Would be a delicate process. Wire harness is special
order in Canada.   Thanks   Rene

Can you post a pic of the board where the connector/wire broke off?

Hi
No I can,t. I have wire harness on order.I,m thinking the only way to repair with electronics is
replace whole section of wire harness. Not sure why the one connector plug was so hard to remove?
This board was different than one I ,ve ever seen--not even sure if it has locking tabs.Did get in there
with a little flat screwdriver but sure didn,t seem like any locking tabs.

Sorry, no idea without a pic.

I can't find a picture of the board online either.

Hi
I haven,t found anymore info on this washer or the control board.Have you or any tech that you know of had to replace this motor board?Almost
rather have had them leave board down on base of machines.Found that I still had to remove back panel to remove wire harness holders to get board where I
could work on removing wire connectors.Hoping I have the right harness when I do go back.Customer would have liked a temp fix but I sure don,t know of one with
such small wires.  Thanks   Rene

Do you know of any used Appliance dealers that keep a stock pile of parts in your area? That would be where I started. Keeping old wiring harnesses for that little patch job here and there comes in handy. Use a Soldering iron and tie them together then use shrink wrap to protect it.
