LG DLGX7701VE Won't Tumble
« on: May 07, 2019, 04:14:27 PM »

Hi all, I have an LG DLGX7701VE that won't tumble. A technician came out and quoted me $700 to replace the "main control board assembly". Looking at some parts websites, I can't find any part with this specific name and I also don't see any part with a price tag of $439 which is what he quoted. Anyone have any idea of which part this is and if you think this is what will fix me dryer? It turns on and says "drying" as usual but it won't tumble. Thanks.

Sounds as if you got a dud tech. Haven't worked on your specific model but I would definitely check for the usual suspects myself before diagnosing a bad control board. Thermal fuse blown or broken belt or bad door switch will all cause no tumble condition. The thermal fuse on your model is aka high limit thermostat and has a reset button on it. Could be a zero dollar repair.
