Could you post two or three of the numbers ? I would like to see if they all go back to one number or what they fit .

I have found a total of 5 different ones, which include over 30 different part numbers.
The 3 Harold listed.
W10820048
W10780048
W10440786
The one you listed
W10780051
And the latest
W11217817
We stock the first 2 on our trucks.  Hope this helps.

Thanks!  It is impossible to work on multi manufacturers products anymore and expect to carry sufficient stock for any sort of a decent one call completion rate.  I wouldn't want to guess how many different washer fill valves Whirlpool has now...Used to be one could fit their whole line and most non-Whirlpool washers as well!
Things certainly change; right now my St. Pat's Day corned beef is cooking sous vide... who'd a thunk it???

So any ideas what goes wrong with these things because I cant look at them and see where the problem is but replacing them usually takes care of the unbalance condition . I remember years ago when the suspension rod system  first came out on the Oasis & Cabrio washers the baskets would actually jump up and down when they went bad and thats when you got the upgrade kit with the plastic cup inserts you put on the top frame .

Had several Whirlpool ones and some of them you could tell . Have a Top load Samsung and only one shows wear but they are getting out of balance and getting the DC Code . With the Whirlpool even with no sign that something was wrong with the rod it  still fix the problem . I have changed some GE washer Rods but they seem to hold up fairly well compared to the Whirlpool . About to get Schooled on the Samsung end.

As usual they are making it harder for us to complete jobs on the first trip, making it so we spend more on fuel/time and such to make a living. I remember having say 10 dryer belts 6 washer belts and 3 water valves having a 95% completion on the first trip. And 10 bake elements 6 surface burners and 5 different receptacles and maybe 4 infinite switches. Now parts to be ordered to repair most machines with same model numbers but different series numbers. We can't carry thousands of control boards on the truck. Have you seen the new safety surface burners they came out with? 8 inch burners are over $100.00 for an open coil burner and they claim a regular burner won't work.Getting harder every day.

I notice on the new 2018 Speed Queen design that they now have the electronic control ( no more mechanical timers ) and the lid lock similar to the Whirlpool but they kept there old suspension system instead of going to the suspension rods like some of the other manufactures have gone to .
