GE Washer Mod. GTW330ASK1WW
« on: November 17, 2018, 09:20:14 PM »

New looking GE washer that appears to work correctly but the tub wobbles and shakes violently, hitting the sides of the cabinet, during the Spin cycle.  Sometimes the tub will sort of balance itself but it still shakes more that I'd expect to be normal.  The tub is not overloaded with clothes and/or water.  Troubleshooting and testing done with the load size set to Small.  Does anyone have an idea as to what would cause this condition?  Thanks, Joey.

Do you think that the suspension rods could be weak and not dampening the movement of the tub?  Thanks, Joey.

No I haven't.  That may be the solution to the problem.  I'm going to read it more thoroughly but how does a software revision correct a wobble and vibration problem?  Thanks for the info.  Joey

Replace all 4 production leveling legs with a new redesigned leg. The redesigned leveling legs come in a 4 pack, part number WH02X26590.
Ensure the washer is level. Running a drain and spin cycle will spin the washer up to full speed quickly to confirm reduced vibration.
NOTE: The leveling legs look the same. However the material they are made of is different.
