Unbalanced and occasional leaking
« on: December 03, 2018, 06:28:58 PM »

Hello all,

I have a Kenmore Elite top loading washing machine from 2012.  The model number is 793.31523210.  It frequently goes unbalanced (error code UE on the display), but not always.  It will go for awhile not doing this at all, and then will repeatedly do it for awhile.  When it does it, the drum with all the clothes really does bang around.  It doesn't seem (usually) like amount of clothes, or really unevenness is the cause.

Also, it occasionally leaks a small amount of water from somewhere, that appears to come from underneath the washer.

I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, but don't know very much at all about washers.  Does anyone have any ideas where to start?
