GE GTW680BMKWS (17-AW03 and 18-AW02)
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:30:42 AM »

Currently in Canada and purchased this washer back in 2016.

I've had some issues with the machine.  It works fine through most of the cycle except for the spin.  During a cycle it seems like it gets "stuck" on the draining part of the cycle and never makes it to the spin.  The draining of the machine is successful.

Furthermore, there have been instances the machine will randomly turn on from off mode and micro-agitate with nothing in it (clothes or water).  Meanwhile this happens, the "canCelleD" screen shows up and the machine locks up for 2-3 minutes.

I've done some research and it seems like it might be related to a Tub Pressure Chamber issue similar to service bulletin HL01-17.  Given that I'm in Canada the corresponding service bulletin is 17-AW03.

Would anybody happen to have the 17-AW03 bulletin?  If you do, could you also get 18-AW02 (related to programming and installation of the control board)?

Thank you.

Just finished clearing out the pressure chamber port flash.

Had to get a socket wrench and sockets as I didn't have the tools.  Will probably end up using these socket tools in minor car repairs as well.  Here's hoping for a return on the investment.

It was a PITA to get to the pressure chamber port.

Afterwards, ran a full load successfully though with no issues with spin/draining.

Will continue to monitor.

Attaching some files for future reference in case anyone ever comes across this issue.

2 of these files are related to the flash pressure chamber.

1 of these files is related to understanding error codes, entering service/consumer mode.
