Suspension springs on Maytag performa washer
« on: August 30, 2018, 08:29:27 PM »

Washer is a PAV2300AWW Maytag washer. After replacing W10219156 seal kit the 3 suspension  springs from base to retainers are too loose.Everything seems in place.
Could a broken snubber ring cause that? No broken pieces found.

The snubber on that washer plays an important role and its stability and may very well be the problem. I was thinking that washer had multiple adjustment options on the spring tension.

Hi
Just read your reply. Yes I might just order a snubber ring & take unit apart again. I,m sure too that's what the problem is. The crunching sound I heard after
replacing the seal kit had to be the snubber ring or what was left of it. Will let you know in week or two. :thanks:
