Long Distance Analysis?
« on: July 04, 2018, 10:58:16 AM »

My sister-in-law, who recently lost her husband, sent me a video of her Maytag washer making some serious noise only during the rinse cycle. She confirmed it doesn't make noise during the wash cycle. It's a kind of vibration noise, not a grinding or bearing noise. I'm 1000 miles away, and not a technician anyway. But I have been her 'go-to' brother in law for common house maintenance stuff.

Any thoughts on what this could be? Transmission? I totally understand this is a really vague request....

Thanks for any suggestions!

There is the Dependable Care Maytag (the real Maytag), the Magic Chef/Norge "Maytag", the Amana "Maytag" and the Whirlpool "Maytag".
Each of them have their own different "common" problems.
A model # will help in determining which Maytag you have.
