Yes I have wondered as well. Made some posts and no replies. Wondered if it was my deodorant. I have been working on appliances and HVAC since I was 19 years old. And that was 41 years ago. I guess most of my work involves HVAC and refrigerators. Laundry equipment is almost disposable these days and have become like lawn mowers, made by the same company with a different logo. Today's washers won't clean cotton candy off Teflon under wear. Hard to find a good top load agitator machine. Those old Maytag's and Whirlpools with cast iron transmissions could wash the chrome off a trailer hitch. The front loaders look jazzy but are so expensive to repair. On the bright side HVAC has come a long way with impressive technology and on demand efficiency, and test instruments that do the diagnostics for you. I still double check with the conventional ways at the end of the day just to keep sharp. You never know when those shiny tools might revolt with a failure, and you can always fall back on your good common sense and experience, because sometimes it just doesn't sound right. To me it is so important to critique yourself to see if you could have done a better job.
