some of those washers cant ever get to the high speed spin and will keep refilling and trying to balance the load.  Doe sit give you any errors when this happens?

If it washes okay, spins okay, and drains okay, I would think it's some type of computer glitch

Yes it does everything fine. Could also be a sensor of some sort.

I have EXACTLY the same problem. Haven't checked the reference of my machine. It's a 5 yo Ecobubble model. As we just cleared the 5 year warranty period by a week, I'm wondering if it's some kind of planned obsolescence trick. It's visibly a programming glitch, not a mechanical failure. No error code. I'm pretty sure fixing this will cost me nearly as much as getting a new one, so I'm planning on giving it away and never touching a Samsung washing machine again.

Check the absorbers to be sure they are installed correctly and in the right position. Sometimes when a washer is moved the shock absorbers separate and have to be put back together.

I felt this symtom very interesting, you woud think the Samsung man woud have something to suggest.I would lie to find the solution to this problem.Would the shock absorbers cause this problem? If the unbalanced load could make the washer keep trying to balance the load  maybe worth the whie to repace the shock absorbers.I hope the Samsung man respond to this request.

Thanks Repairmedic, I will take a look at the absorbers. If nothing's visible, I'm not super keen on replacing four of them without knowing if they are the problem, since it could also be a computer glitch.

if the shocks are the problem, it will usually start to spin, not be able to balance, fill back up, wash a little, drain, and then try to spin again.  It will sometimes give a DC error if this happens, but not always.  Put a load of clothes in a rinse and spin or drain and spin cycle and watch it.  If it gets down to about 8-10 minutes, stops, then fills up, you probably have a problem with suspension.

Thanks Schleven. Yes it did seem to be doing that last time I checked.
So if that's the problem, is it just a case of changing the washers (assuming they didn't get unscrewed or anything). Is it normal for them to last 5 years?
Thanks!
J.

Sorry, but I may be wrong. I guess I didn't read the first post properly. I was thinking this was a top load machine not a front load machine. I have rarely seen the shocks go bad in a front load machine. You should be able to pull the back panel off and make sure they're all in place. If they are in place I would not suspect them being bad. You might slowly spend the drum and make sure it's not off center. If it does not stay centered when you're rotating it manually you may have a problem with the bearing shifted

In my experience Samsung front load washes will crack the basket spline after about 5 years. If the basket spline is cracked that will cause off balanced problems/long cycles. If you can't tell for sure then run it empty and see how long it takes to finish. The other possibility is the motor control board, which is the main control, is faulty. When the unit is ran through a cycle empty it should not go off balance unless the basket spline is badly broken. I hope that helps and good luck.

Thanks Nick. If that's the case that's bad. Do you guys have any other EU-available brand to recommend that's overall more reliable?

Hi, we will see if this link stays active.  Also, you really should post a new topic, instead of asking for a different model number tech sheet on an older post from a different model number.  No hard feelings, just some feedback.
