Kenmore [Canadian built] washer mod. # 592-49069
« on: April 09, 2017, 11:13:40 AM »

Hi guys: I am working on a Canadian built Kenmore washer model 592-49069  Samsung made
having some issue with high speed spin, when the washer time hits 6 it seems to hold there for a couple min. then goes into high speed for a few seconds then jumps to 1 min and stops spin and tumbles.
no error codes to be seen
Been looking for a service manual and or fast track but very hard to find
any help would be gratefully appreciated

Thanks

Exact same machine and same problem here. It's been having difficulty balancing the load lately and can knock quite violently at times. I belive the balance sensor is kicking off and aborting the spin.

The problem is there's no easy way to cross reference this Kenmore model to the equivalent Samsung model which makes it impossible to source service information and parts :tickedoff:.

For this reason it's the last Kenmore appliance I'll ever buy :(.

Try getting the part number off the control board and then use that to cross reference back to the model number.

Any luck finding the solution to this problem, or finding the Samsung model #?

I have the same problem with this model (purchased in 2011): spinning starts off OK and seems to balance the load, but near full speed it will suddenly start making a loud out-of-balance sound, run for a few more seconds, and then stop and complete the cycle without any error codes (so it just gets a brief spin instead of the usual amount of time).

OMG

I'm googling this and found this forum.

EXACT SAME ISSUE with me...

Here's my video: https://streamable.com/xm799

During the 1 hour cycle, you can hear that sound at 30, 18 and 6 minutes mark. But the 6 minute mark one is the longest.

It seems like when the machine starts making that sound, it skips to the next mode in it's cycle. At the 6 minute mark, the next mode after spin is stop :(

Lately, I am facing a similar problem with my washing machine. The machine washes but my clothes come out soaking wet. Pl. suggest a solution to this.

Acquired this washer, stripped it down and found it to have a crack in the spider.
Could not feel the crack when pressing on the inner drum while it was in the washer.
This hairline crack was causing an imbalance when on high speed spin and shut the washer down.

I found a hairline crack on my washer too. Is the washer a gonner at this point or can you fix this? Same model btw.

The Spider is available as a Samsung part. Part # DC97-15491A
I would also recommend removing the 6 mounting bolts before you order the spider. The bolts can sometimes be a problem. Bolt part # DC60-40137A if you need any.
