Hello AJ,

This morning my wife noticed the dryer is noisy. Low frequency unlike most of the noisy descriptions I've read. Ran it with just the top cover off and the metal shelf for the circuit board was shaking and dancing. .Opened up the back, expecting to see a softener sheet, long lost pet, or wayward rodent somewhere. Looks like new inside, short of some dust. It's full of clothes, but drum turns pretty easy with the belt off the idler. Rubber wheels and belt look new. Oh, I did get about a handful of dust, mostly heavy accumulated crud, from the tube, right where it connects to the hose. Ran a couple of times briefly with no hose (it's electric, no gas fumes).

Only thing I could fin so far is the path where the rubber wheels run on the drum is very clean and shiny on the front, back the same but has what looks like a few 2 or 3" long narrow skid marks.. Both rear seem to roll OK as I turn by hand. If I can't find anything else, should I pull the wheels and inspect?

Going back down for a closer look at things and to inspect the entire belt. Maybe neighbors cat is between the drum and said, but no screaming heard. Getting over the super-flue type A that the shots don't prevent. Check back next time I come back up for air...

jon

Nothin' all looks like new. Rubber wheels have the seam where they were molded going all the way around. Belt is perfect. It must have been the neighbors cat and it got out. All I did was vacuum the dust bunnies and pull all screws in the back, top still off and running like new again. Enough for today. I'm guessing the screws needed resnug. IDK if they were loose coming out... used a 1/4" impact out and back in.
