Need service manual for ZIR36NMCRH - GE Monogram Fridge
« on: July 12, 2016, 04:27:40 PM »

Need service manual for ZIR36NMCRH - GE Monogram Fridge.  Specifically need refrigerant specs.  Unit is icing up.  No cooling.  On-site - dirty condenser coil.  Low-side around 0 psi cut in and rising.

Thanks,

if the unit is icing up why would you tap it to see what the pressure is? :-\
It's cooling, the issues sounds like it's not defrosting.  ???
The parts list doesn't show a defrost timer  Or a main board. My guess it has a timer would be front and center under the front cover in the machine compartment.
Did you ohm out the defrost bimetals? there are two(according to the parts lookup)
GE page didn't have any info available.
Wonder if someone else can add info.

No defrost timer or heater on refrigerator models. There is a defrost bimetal that shuts off the compressor, but leaves the compartment fan running to defrost. Check for clogged or frozen defrost drain, sagging door not contacting the door switches or poor door seal.

Condenser very dirty.  I cleaned it and fans and so far, customer says all is well 36 hours later.  Seals good.  Water in drip tray indicating good drain function.

I am working on one of these, I would like to see the thermostats in a wiring diagram, to get an idea how the fan runs during defrost but the compressor is off because its thermostat is open(I think the thermostat on compressor circuit is closed at +42and open at +3)
Can anyone shed some light. The one I'm working on is staying frosted over. I have replaced both thermostats (I hope right part numbers and temp ranges). They had been worked on before me by Sears, I was wanting to make sure both were wired in correctly.
