GE dryer says clean lint filter
« on: June 06, 2016, 02:41:51 PM »

I have a GE electric  dryer that keeps saying  clean lint screen.  I have cleaned it several times, and taken the dryer apart and put the whole vent system.  It will run one load, and then quit working and say it needs to be cleaned.  If I shut the door and quickly hit the start button it will usually run.  Any ideas why the dryer thinks the lint needs to be cleaned out when it is clear ?   Thanks

try it with it unattached from venting. the CPU thinks that it is taking too long for the heat to drop.

If everything is clean and you have cleaned out all the venting and feel good airflow outside, you need to hook up all the venting and run a vent calibration.
